Profile

Ivano Cardinale is Professor of Economics at Goldsmiths, University of London, where he founded and directs the Structural Economic Analysis Unit. In the same University, he founded and directs the new school of management. He previously held a Research Fellowship at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. He received his PhD from the University of Cambridge. He was a Political Economy Research Fellowship at the Independent Social Research Foundation. He is Editor-in-Chief of Structural Change and Economic Dynamics.

He was awarded the “Feltrinelli Giovani” Prize for the Social Sciences in 2022. In the motivation, the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei highlighted his research on Structural Political Economy, and especially on the “mutual shaping of social groups’ collective actions and the socio-economic structures within which those actions take place”.
