La Royal astronomical Society ha conferito alla Socia Francesca Matteucci il titolo di "Honorary Fellow" con la seguente motivazione.
Professor Francesca Matteucci is awarded an RAS Honorary Fellowship for her scientific leadership in the chemical evolution of galaxies, her management of astronomical institutions, her community service, and as a brilliant mentor for many students and early career researchers.
