The Brazilian Academy of Sciences and 5 other Brazilian organizations (the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil, the Brazilian Bar Association, the Dom Paulo Evaristo Arns Human Rights Defense Commission, the Brazilian Press Association, the Brazilian Society for the Advancement of science) sign an appeal regarding the devastating pandemic situation in Brazil "The people cannot pay with their lives!"
